The first iTalk to be held in Khujand took place on 8 July 2018. Entitled Ақлҳоро ақлҳо ёрӣ диҳанд (which translate as ‘two heads are better than one’), the event discussed how to consider one’s career path and options based on the personal experience of six speakers.

Alumni of the 2017 media camp completed a series of workshops on civic journalism and debate in Kazakhstan (Karaganda) and Tajikistan (Dushanbe). An iTalk was also held on the topic of Media and Ethics, which saw speakers discussing journalism ethics, storytelling, fact checking, and civic activism.

Open Discussions were conducted in Dushanbe at the Russian Tajik Slavonic University (RTSA), which attended 22 people. A range of experts participated, including Munira Inoyatova (former Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, an employee of the public organization Sustainable Human Development), Aziza Salikhova (RTSA Law Faculty Master and participant in the Open World program on the topic of domestic violence (Washington, 2015), and Bakhrom Hamrokulov (lawyer).
